Uganda signed an agreement with KamAZ on the construction of a plant for the production of trucks. They will be exported to the African market. And in the future it is planned that this country will supply electric vehicles to Russia. This was stated in an interview with the media by the Ambassador of Uganda to the Russian Federation, Moses Kizige.
“We are also open to cooperation with Russian automakers, for example, we recently signed an agreement with KamAZ on the construction of a plant for the production of trucks in Uganda in order to sell them on the African market,” the ambassador said.
As for electric vehicles, their production has just begun, but in the future the country plans to enter the international market.
“We have just started, but one day we will be exporting Ugandan electric vehicles to Russia,” Kizige said. At the same time, neither the timing nor the technical characteristics of these electric vehicles have been reported yet.
