Starting to create the plot of "Perimeter 2: New Earth", the developers did not reinvent the steam bicycle, but continued the story a little later than the moment at which the last part of the game ended. Two opposing groups - the Exodus and the Return, having gone in opposite directions through the worlds of spanzh, simultaneously reached the real planet, which they dubbed the New Earth. New sources of energy turned out to be much scarcer, respectively, and the technology that depends on them has become simpler.
Having settled into the new territory, Exodus and Return started the conflict again. And they even found a formal reason for this - the Exodus learned to extract energy on the hills, and all the buildings of the Return function only in water. Under such conditions, it was necessary either to divide the territory in half, or to destroy the neighbor. Let's see what the inhabitants of the opposing perimeters can boast of after the developers have lost the freedom of creativity of the energy reserves of spanzh. Flying cities - frames, were forced to stand on the pier, now their direct participation in the battles is unnecessary and too expensive. The ball is ruled by mobile construction platforms, nicknamed foremen for the fact that at any moment they can turn into an energy core, which is the basis of the building unit of any base. The cores not only produce energy, but also serve as a support in positional warfare - each core can terraform the surrounding landscape to suit the needs of its group. For the Exodus, it creates plains and drains the swamps, and for the Return, on the contrary, it turns the swamps into seas, and the land into a swamp. The more cores are installed with overlapping coverage, the faster and more stable the result of their work. The cores still have the ability to create a protective perimeter around themselves, but its value is now much lower than it was in the first part of the game. Enemies can break through the field, I'm glad that at the same time the strength of their attack drops significantly. And the last skill of the energy core is the capture of buildings. It will be possible to use it only on neutral buildings, because enemy buildings, once on enemy territory, very quickly lose their strength and crumble. We will provide power to three types of factories - for light, medium and heavy equipment, a research center and three types of defensive-offensive structures (turret,
rocket launcher and howitzer). Everything is tied to the research center, thanks to the work of which we can gain access to all these buildings.
The troops also became not crowded. They waved in unison to nanotechnologies, which made it possible to get the combat unit that was needed at the moment from any type of unit. Now, in order to save energy, both sides have switched to conventional transformation. Three of the four types of troops available to each side have two forms - ground and air; this is, as you might guess, a light, medium and heavy combat drone. The fourth type of equipment is the group's special unit, and when they enter the game, there is a clear imbalance. Exodus only has an auxiliary flying drone that provides nearby troops with invisibility, while Return boasts a powerful golem that destroys enemy buildings with the first shot. Well, at least he doesn’t shoot through the air, at least there is an opportunity to get him from above.
