We got to know this car in detail when it received a residence permit for a long test in our editorial office. But if during its update four years ago we were looking for the "Viewpoints" of the ninth generation Honda Civic, now it is very difficult for us to find similarities with its predecessor in the tenth generation car. The new Honda Civic doesn't even look like a sedan. The tenth Civic is more reminiscent of the now fashionable 4-door coupe. The reason for this is the styling of the C-pillars. They, as if in a straight line, gently descend directly to the edge of the trunk. The stern, like the claws of a bird of prey, "hold" the rear lights. And in the appearance of the front there is something hawkish or eagle. The headlights look sharply out from  Honda Civic 2017 Green under the overhanging powerful chrome crossbar, as from under the developed brow arches. Large black embossed "windows" in which they are located, and the center of the same color give the bumper a very sporty look. And it is only emphasized by similar elements in the rear bumper. The new Civic in profile looks faster due to the sharpened line of the glazing and the absence of vertical lintels and blind sectors in the door windows. And behind all this, the increased dimensions of the car are perfectly hidden. So, the length of the sedan has grown by 92 mm, width - 44 mm, and only the height has decreased by 28 mm. The wheelbase has also increased by 23 mm, so that the new proportions went to the benefit of the spaciousness of the cabin and the volume of the trunk. The two-tier front panel was a feature of the previous generation Civic, and now the interior is perceived as more classic. Such a decision will be more familiar to those who change from behind the wheel of a Honda Civic sedan from a car of another brand. The front panel has become more classic, but has benefited noticeably with the advent of more complex and interesting architecture. Thanks to the wide insert in front of the front passenger, the dashboard looks more expensive, but ... … Partial finishing with soft plastic imitating leather and embossing under the seam were already in the ninth generation of the Civic after the renovation. All devices are now arranged on a common dashboard, and their rich blue backlighting is a thing of the past, giving way to a calmer white one. Although the speedometer remains electronic, the readability of the instruments is now better. It is more convenient to use the rear view camera. Previously, the picture had to literally look out on a small and too distant screen under the windshield, but now it is displayed on a 5-inch screen in the center of the dashboard. There are two rubberized shelves on the center console. It is convenient to put a mobile phone or smartphone on the top.
